fishbone incident

I thought it would be pretty fast, getting a fishbone out of my throat.

So i left my place in the afternoon hoping to settle it fast then head off to get a haircut. Alas, my family doctor scolded me for attempting the various self-cure techniques while he referred me to changi general's a&e.

Thus off i went, home first because i've been a careless pancake and kept forgetting my phone lately. Really careless.

In a nutshell, met mum at a&e; the general doctor there sent me to get an x-ray that was apparently useless before he phoned down the nose throat specialist. Guess unagi bones really are too fine to be seen after all. The specialist came an hour later.

Anyway, the process was kinda gross. The anesthesia they sprayed into my nose was bitter and made it feel raw, even now. Having a tube stuffed into your nose really isnt fun. Oh well. Guess i'm gonna be abstaining from unagi for quite a bit now. Heh.

Still, besides the fact that the first doctor was kinda grumpy, the other staff there were generally nice. The specialist was really friendly too. And thankfully, i was there for only 3 hours. Haha. Suppose Dr Koh's letter worked ! Yayness ! But really, what a way to start the year ! Hahahha.
